I've been invited to take part in the “Biennale Internazionale dell'Arte Contemporanea”. The exhibition takes place in Florence, Italy, in the exhibition area of the Fortezza da Basso. I will take part next time in 2009, because now there's just too much going on. Luckily the same invitation is good in the future! For more info: www.florencebiennale.org
__________________REPRESENTATION
I'm currently represented by two great agencies - World Art Media in NY and Art-Exchange! It is a great combination as NY Arts deals with the private collectors and museums and Art-Exchange handles the corporate collections. I am very impressed with both of them and am looking forward to what these connections will bring!

GRANTS AND RECOGNITION
I received the SAIC Madeleine Stanley Jossem award based on merit! This covered 90% of one course during autumn 2006!

I took part in the Upstream People Gallery's 8th Annual Collage & Mixed Media International Online Juried Art Exhibition. The exhibition was opened on June 1, 2006 at www.upstreampeoplegallery.com There are nearly 700.000 hits per month.
Two of my paintings got SPECIAL RECOGNITION:
"Suvi Konttinen of Chicago, Illinois dramatically and expressively captures attention in her rather large works, especially in “All Your Life You Tried” with an inquisitive tone asking if anyone cares now. In “Locate” there’s a sense of looking for or seeking out answers. This message is magnified by the 67” width of the piece.
